Sydney Paediatric Dental Services, known formally as Kids Chompers is Sydney’s first specialist Paediatric Dental practice established by Dr Kareen Mekertichian in 1995. Based in the North Shore of Sydney, Chatswood, Dr Kareen’s focus is in providing the most thorough and contemporary care of infants and children presenting with dental and orofacial health and developmental issues.
Sydney Paediatric Dental Services provides inter-disciplinary management for children of all ages, adolescents, those with special needs and children with complex medical and behavioural considerations. We provide a "dental home" to support children and families within a caring and nurturing environment.
As well as restorative treatment and wide-ranging care of complex oral health needs, Dr Kareen also provides surgical treatment, trauma follow-up, anticipatory orthodontic guidance and behaviour management for our diverse group of children and adolescents. A significant component of the clinical practice provided by Sydney Paediatric Dental Services is in delivering comprehensive dental and surgical care under General Anaesthesia.
Kids Chompers has broad and intimate association with many complementary health practitioners and other specialists in ensuring individually tailored treatment planning to maximise all possible outcomes for our patients.
